Chibi Amigurumi Saja Boys FREE Crochet Pattern

KPop Demon Hunters has taken over this house ever since we watched it for the first time! My kids have been obsessed (OK, let's face it, we're all obsessed), and I knew I had to crochet something to celebrate our new favorite movie of the summer.

While I love Huntrix and the girl power in this movie, the Saja Boys have our hearts (and we're ready to give them our souls). They've become my sanctuary. So I whipped up these chibi-sized amigurumi Saga Boys using my Chibi Amigurumi Doll Base pattern!

They all share the same base pattern and measure about 6 cm (2.4 inches) tall, but the different hair and outfit colors help bring each member to life. They’re quick, fun, and perfect if you’re a fan of the movie or just love crocheting tiny dolls.

Inspiration Behind the Crochet Design

My cousin had been urging me to watch KPop Demon Hunters for weeks, and I kept seeing clips pop up on my social media feed. At first, I wasn't sure about the animation style, so I hesitated a bit. Then, I saw a fun Instagram Reel where people re-enacted the scene where Huntrix first meets the Saja Boys, and that finally convinced me to give the movie a try one Friday night (on my own).

The next day, I invited my kids to watch it with me. They thought it was live action and weren't very interested at first, but once the music started, they were hooked! Now, the movie or the music videos are on nearly every day in our house.

It's been so fun watching Mui Mui's preference develop. She seems to be a fan of guys with big muscles like Abby. While she loves the amigurumi dolls, she keeps complaining that the Abby amigurumi doll is missing the muscles like in the movie. I guess that's a design challenge for next time!
